How do I get to Jomtien Plaza from Bangkok / Suvarnabhumi Airport?
Private taxis are available direct from/ to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) from THB ฿1,200 (depending on the vehicle).
However best value is the airport bus direct to & from the Jomtien bus depot for THB ฿130 (Sept 2020 about: AUD $5.70 / EUR €3.50 / GBP £3.20 / USD $4.20). At the airport look for the counter adjacent to Gate 8 on Level 1. Tickets can be purchased here for the next available bus (hourly or half-hourly at peak times) from 05:30 to 22:00 daily. For all other transport (including the return bus trip) it is recommended you pre-book.
The Jomtien bus depot is only a 3-minute songthaew ride from Jomtien Plaza Condotel, or maybe a 10-minute walk if you care to go by foot.
Some airlines operate service(s) through U-Tapao (UTP) aprx 35 km to the south or Don Muang (DMK) north of Bangkok. There are some scheduled bus services to these airports, but it’s usually best to arrange a taxi transfer.
Are there any restaurants near the condo?
Yes, there are cafés, delis, Italian diners and much more. All within walking distance. Some will even deliver to your room.
However, do try the local street vendors to get a taste of true Thai food. They’re everywhere and at all hours of the day & night. The best ones will be those where the locals congregate.
Plenty more in nearby Pattaya and surrounding areas.
What is the minimum stay required?
Local laws require booking for 1 month minimum for a private residence/ condo. Should you require a shorter stay, we can highly recommend the Jomtien Palm Beach Hotel. This is a 4-star resort right next door to Jomtien Plaza Condotel.
How can I book?
To secure this holiday apartment you need to book & pay through the Holiday Lettings (a TripAdvisor company) website. Only bookings paid for through our site are covered by their trusted Payment Protection. This means that in the unlikely event that you’re prevented or denied access to your holiday home when you check in, we’ll offer a full refund for the stay.
What is the impact of COVID-19 on travel and this accommodation?
Unfortunately, we don’t know and don’t have a crystal ball. Currently international travel into (and out of) the Kingdom of Thailand is restricted and may remain conditional until the global pandemic eases in severity. There is some domestic travel possible within Thailand.
At present, bookings for the remainder of 2020 have been suspended and we recommend caution if booking in the first half of 2021. Please contact us (using the contact form on this website) prior if you wish to book over any part of that period and be prepared for possible changes with any tentative bookings. It’s not our intention to charge for any changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic and/or travel restrictions, but there may be external booking or payment fees applied that are outside our control.
